Purple is passionate about empowering individuals living with mental illness to live the fullness of their potential. She is a family member and has personally experienced the transformative power of education and support in changing an adversity into an opportunity. Purple has over 20 years’ experience supporting individuals and families living with developmental disabilities, mental health and substance use issues in educational, community and residential settings, including The Salvation Army, L’Arche Daybreak, York Region Addiction Services, and the Schizophrenia Society of Ontario. Purple holds a Master’s of Theology in Counseling from Tyndale University and Seminary, where she is currently an Assistant Supervisor at Tyndale Counselling Services. She is a clinical fellow of AAMFT and OAMFT, and a Registered Psychotherapist working with individuals and families. Purple has extensive experience leading workshops on a variety issues and is a dynamic educator in settings small and large.
